Exploratorium Preview Night

 

The new Exploratorium is open! Well not quite yet, but we went to a Member;'s preview night last night, actually the first one they've has so we were some of the first people to see it! It was alot of fun, we went with Krissy and Kaitlyn and Lauren too. I was skeptical about the new location but actually it is really great.

Black Sheep

A picturesque siting on the way to the Newman's in Sonoma. I lvoed seeing the one "black" (kind dark brown really) sheep in the mix. As a city girl (now-city/once-suburban girl/not much a farm girl)
I was charmed and had to take a picture.

Early Morning Art Projects

With Greg working so much on the weekends lately (tax season) I have a full day to keep the girls entertained. They started into full blown painting before 8AM on this Saturday morning

 

 

6:00 Greg leaves for work
6:15 Cecily wakes up, climbs in my bed where Piper is already snuggled up with me. 
6:30 Cecily persists in her nagging so that I cannot go back to sleep, I hush her so Piper won't wake up
6:35 Piper wakes up
6:45 We all get out of bed and tumble downstairs for mini blueberry muffins, yogurt drinks (the girls) and coffee (me)
7:00 I put on a strange mermaid cartoon movie for the girls while I finish reading "Mystic River" on my iPad
7:45 the mermaid movie was short! Cecily and Piper are bored.
7:55 I set up the paints. Cecily "paints with inspiration"- her phrase. The inspiration in this case apparently being a Minnie Mouse sippy cup.

Super Bowl Sunday

They lost the game, but the 49ers got some cheers from our little cheerleaders.

Piper was in tears bc the 49ers were doing so poorly...ok the tears were for something else, but Cecily shook her Pom poms to try to cheer her sister up, she even offered to let Piper use them. Piper stopped crying, wiped her eyes, pointed at Cecily and said,
"And the dress"
We ended up convincing her the tiara and wand worked just as well.
