Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving in Palos Verdes.

My parents are still at the Rainbow Ridge house, awaiting the completion of the remodel. We drove down and brought Luca. The house was full of dogs running around (Luca, Xena, Rascal and Sophie) and only one child, although Cecily certainly makes her prescence known! She was the center of attention and loved it. She especially adores her "Auntie Leen" and even gave Uncle Brian a little love! Cecily's impression of a turkey "Boggle Boggle"

Dinner was excellent as always. Michael came for dinner. The weekend was great and it was wonderful for Ceci to spend time with her grandma and grandpa as they are so far away (well SF to LA isnt that far but it seems like it)

We checked out the progress of the Via Rincon remodel, it should be great when finished!

Pumpkins

We visiting the Petaluma Pumpkin patch again this year, and met up with Luna Dator and Addi Newman. They ran around the patch, climbed the dusty hay bails, and Cecily was obsessed with the bouncy house. It was a very warm October day and we let the girls play and then enjoyed some wine at Dempseys while they napped.

Goblin Jamboree

We went to the Goblin Jamboree on Saturday with Scott and Cara and Addison. Cecily was a blue fairy (costume thanks to Grandma) and Addi was Tiger Lily. The girls had a blast in their costumes, checking out the other kids in costumes, dancing to music (though a very annoying kid band with not very nice perfomers), riding on the train and on the spinning pumpkin (headaches for parents but dizzy bliss for the girls), jumpy house, etc.

It is fun doing Halloween stuff this year as Cecily is starting to appreciate all this stuff. She is also becoming aware of "scary things" and insists when we see a picture of a ghost or a witch that it is a NICE ghost or a GOOD witch so as to distance herself from the scary element. We are doing alot of talking about Halloween and pumpkins and candy and the like.

Little Miss Flowergirl

Cecily was a flowergirl in Mikey (Greg's cousin) and Eileen's wedding this past weekend. Also flowergirls were Lauren, Kaitlyn and Eileen's niece Jocelyn who is only a few days younger than Cecily. They were unbelievably cute and walked down the aisle quite well. Their duties ended there, thankfully, and they spent the remainder of the wedding eating the variety of snacks we brought and fidgeting in the pew. I had to whisk Cecily away to the sidelines quite a bit however as she kept yelling out "Stand Up" when people were kneeling down in prayer. It sounded alot like "Shut Up" which did not seem very appropriate.

The ceremony and reception (at the top of the St. Francis) were beautiful.

I will post more pictures when I get them from the wedding.

On an unrelated note, Cecily is getting VERY excited about her birthday (this coming Thursday and party this Sunday). She does not stop talking about cake, party, and very importantly, presents.
