SoCal Trip

We traveled down south for the week before Memorial Day to visit family and friends. It was wonderful to have Ceci visit with my family, I only wish she could see her grandma and grandpa (and auntie and uncle) more often! She loved seeing all the peacocks of which we have so many in Palos Verdes. The corgis chased her around, (mostly Rascal chasing with Zena barking). It was very hot in the beginning of the trip and we took her down to the beach and she had a great time playing with the sand crabs filling up the bucket with water and pouring it out, watching it soak into the sand. I think she could have done this all day! Mid week we went down to San Diego and visited with the Cousinos and saw their new baby Samantha and Cecily played with Brook (now 4). Below are highlights from the trip.

Bay Area Discovery Museum

Cecily loves the Bay Area Discovery Museum. Its right across the bridge in Sausalito and her nanny Berit takes her there about once a week. Last week Nana and Nonno took her and her cousin Lauren there. They had lots of fun. See below for pictures.

Playing in the Tot Room. Lots of fun toys to play with, costumes to wear, and fun squishy waterbed like things to jump on.

Playing with big rubber fish in the stream. They also have rubber crabs and frogs.

Playing with clay like sand. Very cool stuff.

Don't Eat the Flowers

Little girl Cecily is busy busy busy. She is hard to capture on camera standing still. She is always running, shrieking, giggling, dancing, figuring out how the world works, and demanding her way!

Here she is having a "ball" at Nana and Nonnos last weekend.

Life with our baby girl is always changing, getting more fun and interesting. We are all understanding each other a bit more, and her personality is definitely developing! Some things are NOT getting easier, or more fun, such as bedtime. What had settled into a fairly predictable and manageable routine has turned into a battle of the wills. Screaming, thrashing, and ..... head banging. She's figured out that if she bangs her head on the crib and screams "Ow Ow Ow!" as if she is in severe pain, anguish, danger, etc. we will come-a-running to her rescue. We are going to outsmart her of course, but we just havent figured out how yet.

Here are pictures of three girls (Ceci*Addi*Luna)from Luna Dator's first birthday last weekend.
