Baby Yoga

Cecily is all over the place lately! Trying to pull up on everything, and contorting her body into different positions. Often it looks like she is trying to do the "Down Dog" yoga position and then go into the one where you have one hand and one foot on the ground and the other foot and hand in the air. We definitely have to keep on our own toes to make sure she doesn't get too many bumps and bruises.

Daddy's Day

Greg experienced his first official Father's Day. We had dinner with his Dad (and mom, Krissy and the girls) on Saturday and then then hung out with Scott and Cara and Baby Addison on Sunday in Sonoma. Scott and Greg celebrated their fatherhood by drinking as much wine as they wanted, and the Mommies had a couple of glasses as well. It was a nice warm day and we ate oysters and drank wine in the park. Cecily sat and played with grass (which of course I had to stop her from ingesting) and kept wanting to touch the baby's face. Everyone had a great time and the baby girls were very well behaved. Then Cecily was so tired that she didnt even wake up when I carried her from the car to bed. She then proceeded to sleep through the night. Happy Father's Day!

8 months old

Cecily turned 8 months old on Saturday. We spent the beautiful sunny day relaxing and hanging at Fort Funston. Cecily had her first sand experience and was VERY interested. Of course she tried to taste it, but I stopped her from eating too much.
She is such a happy baby lately and wants to get involved with EVERYTHING. She is crawling-backwards. Both scooting on her belly and on her hands and knees. But only backwards. A bit frustrating for her as she gets further and further from what she is aiming for. Her hair is getting so long, its curly and wild. She is eating more and more food and I may start to gradually wean her soon. At least I'll try, not sure how well she'll take to that.
We're looking forward to a fun summer, vacation in a few weeks.

Busy Baby

Cecily is having so much fun lately! She is really enjoying playing with her toys, and especially NOT her toys as in the remote control or XBOX controller. She is starting to try to crawl. She will pull up on her hands and knees but then just collapse, utterly frustrated. We've had to lower the crib and pack n'play because she pulls up onto her knees. But now its very hard to lower her into these spots when she's sleeping without her awakening. So she's been sleeping alot in our bed. Very bad habit.
She started saying "Da Da" this weekend. We're not sure if she is referring to Greg, Luca (as in "Dog") or just babbling. Whatever it is, Greg loves it and so does Cecily. She is quite proud of herself and even woke up in the middle of the night saying Da Da and smiling.
Other exciting news is that Cecily has a new nanny! Nana will still be hanging out with her one day a week and the other days Kathy comes and watches her. So now Cecily has yet another person to shower her with as much love and attention as she demands! What a princess.
